================================================================== On Jan 1st Seven members of the Lake Eufaula R/C Modelers Club Brave the cold bone chilling north winds of Oklahoma to fly On the first day Of This New Year 2002. A very large Thank You goes out to you Seven And all the rest Of the club members that work to support and build our club. Congratulations to : Tom Smith, Tommy Smith, Ron Wheeler, Bud Rice, Cal Stout, Brent Daniels, Al Kibart ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- More news on the horizon is all members are are useing this cold weather time to get ready for the next full flying season. Five members qualified for year around all season flyers in the year 2001, Congratulations to them: Tom Smith, Tommy Smith, Ron Wheeler, Cal Stout, Al Kibart. They each Received a Certificate from the club for thier deication to the hobby.. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Don't forget our next meeting is Jan 8th 7:PM at the city hall conference room.. Come and bring a friend , also If you have a project under way bring it in for a show and tell. This Meeting is Open to the Public.. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Up comming projects reported to this editor sounds like this year will be a fun time for all. Tommy Smith our yongest member has a Great Plains ARF , 81 inch J-3 Cub on it's way to his hanger for final construction. He said he ordered a Futaba DA 6ch Radio and a .61 4cyc engine. Sounds like he wants to have fun. While Dad Smith is hard a work on his HOG Bi Plane built from a kit and will be powered by a .75 2cyc . It is in the sanding stages now and looks like it will be a real beauty.. Ron , our club president has ordered him a new LT-40 ARF and magnum .61 4 cyc to power it. It is on it's way here to his hanger for final assy. It will be controled by a tower hobbies 6ch FM radio. Also He put his name on the list for one of the new Kadet Senior Arf's that should be arriving some time in Jan. and a new .61 4 cyc engine to power it. The next one on the drawing board is Bud Rice working on his Glider and finishing his LT-40 ARF, For the flying season.
